What does the VocalCH icon mean?

VocalCH is an innovative feature in EVOBOX systems that lets you control the artist’s vocals during your performance. With it, you can not only turn the performer’s voice on or off, but also flexibly adjust its volume: make it quieter for background support or louder for a full-fledged duet.

VocalCH brings new emotions to singing and helps you unlock your vocal potential, creating the feeling that you are singing on stage with world stars.

FAQs about VocalCH

What is VocalCH for, and how do I use it?

VocalCH is designed to let you perform your favorite hits in a duet with the artist. This feature helps you master even the most complex compositions faster and makes every performance more professional and memorable.
It is very easy to control:

  • On the remote control: use the “Solo” button during performance.
  • In the EvoNet and EvoControl apps: click on the VocalCH icon in the player or use the “Solo” parameter in the settings.
How is VocalCH volume controlled?

You can set individual vocal volume settings and easily change them as needed while singing:

  • Smooth adjustment: allows you to precisely adjust the volume of the vocal part in the range from 0 to 100%. This feature is currently available in the latest version of the EvoControl app. When you move the slider in the app, a scale will appear on the screen, clearly showing the volume level of the vocal part.
  • Step adjustment: used when controlling from the remote control or using the EvoNet smartphone app. You can instantly switch between “Quiet” (corresponding to 40% vocal volume) and “Loud” (100% volume), or completely mute the vocal part to continue performing solo.
What else is important to know about VocalCH?
  • Search features: there is no separate filter for such songs. You can find out if VocalCH is available for a particular song by looking for the icon of the same name in the catalog interface on the TV screen or in the apps: EvoControl (for tablets) and EvoNet (for smartphones).
  • Auxiliary melody “Solo”: please note that for songs with VocalCH support, the standard melody cue (solo) is not used. It is no longer necessary, as the artist’s vocal part itself serves as a perfect guide, helping you to come in on time and hit the notes accurately.
How to find songs with VocalCH support?

The karaoke catalog already contains thousands of enhanced songs that include vocals. Their number is growing every day. They are marked with a special icon in the general catalog — if you see this VocalCH symbol, it means that vocals are available for this song.

How do I access VocalCH?

This feature is available for all models in the EVOBOX line. To enable it, simply update (internet connection required) the software to version 3.2.4 or higher. The system will prompt you to do this automatically when you turn it on, or you can start the process manually by going to: Settings → Updates.

What happens when the key changes?

Keep in mind: when the key changes, VocalCH automatically turns off. This is so the whole song changes key correctly and the artist’s voice stays natural.

Can LiveFX be used together with VocalCH?

Yes, our karaoke content department releases compositions that contain both effects simultaneously. This creates the perfect symbiosis: the stadium drive of a live concert from LiveFX and professional support from VocalCH in one song.
